Immigration has become a hot topic in the United States and Idaho plays a major role in the debate due to its large agricultural economy and growing workforce needs. The History of Latin American Immigration in Idaho will focus on key aspects, which have led to increased immigration to the U.S. with a focus on Idaho. The presentation will demonstrate the ebb and flow of legal and illegal immigration over the past 50 years culminating in contemporary U.S. governmental policies and programs.
